Rail Runner

The New Mexico Rail Runner began service between Albuquerque and Santa Fe during the 2008 holiday season and were offerng free rides ... so, we didn't want to pass up the chance!  Here, our train's conductor is calling out a list of departure times.

The train eventually was packed--standing room only!  Robyn and I got seats on the top level.

Robyn ... somewhere between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Our train at the Santa Fe Depot.

We found out that before we could board, the Rail Runner had to pull out of the station for the Santa Fe Southern tour train to pull in.  Something like musical chairs--but with trains and train horns.

Our train pulls out--but we're first in line!  Hope it comes back!  It's 57 miles to Albuquerque--quite a walk.

The train station looks rather bleak and empty without a train in it.

The Santa Fe Southern tour train pulls in.

Just so I wouldn't forget the name.
