New Mexico State Fair
New Mexico State Fair

The entrance to the New Mexico State Fair at Expo New Mexico (formerly known as the State Fair Grounds).

The carnival portion of the fair.

The children's Puppet Parade.

A look inside Lujan Hall.

The Pirate's Den ride at the carnival.

I hate bobo the clown--he's a bastard!

Indian Village ... with a newly remodeled entrance.

A horno oven at Indian Village--these things put out a lot of heat!

 Indian Village.

Me and Gil (taken with the timer while the camera was on a tripod) at Lujan Hall.

Villa Espana.

Chuck's Nuts ..... Noooo, Chuck isn't nuts ... this is Chuck's Nuts ... and Gil is talking with Chuck--someone he knew when Gil ran a booth at the fair in Lujan Hall.

Here I am at the September 2007 fair 70 pounds lighter than when I had started the year.  The problem is:  when I lose weight, I look older.

Annette with turkey leg in hand at the 2008 New Mexico Fair.

The menu at Pueblo Harvest in Indian Village.

I feel this is the best place to buy roasted corn at the fair.

Twilight falling on restaurant row at the fair.

This is a humongously big game arcade.

One of my favorite carnival rides.

Wade Henry ... a juggler and street performer at the 2008 fair.

Price at the fair--each year, they seem to get a little higher.

Delicious honey from Chama for $12 a jar.
