Cerrillos

Downtown Cerrillos, looking north.  This street was one of the locations used in John Carpenter's 1998 movie, Vampires.

Cerrillos was a mining town and different things were mined frrom the "little hills" ... turquoise, gold, silver and lead.

The Cerrillos Bar, which had its named changed to Mary's Bar for the movie Vampires ... and then nobody bothered to change it back.

The latest census indicated Cerrillos had a population of 229 people.  The village is also home to a petting zoo.  Here, my friend Connie waits patiently while I take a photograph.

Connie and myself in Cerrillos in August, 2007.  The historic St. Joseph's Church is behind us.

One last look at the buildings in Cerrillos before moving on.
